• Criminal cases and Civil Traffic Infraction cases are heard at the Criminal Justice Center.
  • Juvenile cases for a Civil Traffic Infraction or a Misdemeanor Criminal Traffic offense are also heard at the Criminal Justice Center.
  • All other Juvenile cases are heard at the Juvenile Justice Center.

You can visit our online records for criminal cases and traffic cases to find out the status of a case, what judge or hearing officer a case is set before, or the date, time and courtroom.   • If the case is a misdemeanor and is set for Arraignment, it will be heard at 2:00 PM in Courtroom J2 at the Seminole County Jail.
  • If the case is set for Initial Appearances throughout the week, it will be heard at the jail at 2:00 PM in courtroom J2.
  • Initial Appearances over the weekend or holidays are heard at the jail at 9:00 AM in courtroom J2.
  • If the case is a felony and is set for Arraignment, it will generally be heard at 8:30 AM in Courtroom J1 at the Seminole County Jail.
  • If the case is a felony and is set for Docket Sounding it will be heard at 1:30 PM in Courtroom J1 at the Seminole County Jail. However, defense counsel may address the case during the morning session. You will need to contact the Attorney’s office to find out if the case was addressed outside the normal time as our system will not be updated until evening hours.
  • The defendant or child will be transported to the Criminal Justice Center or the Juvenile Justice Center on the scheduled date and time for any hearing not listed above.

  • You may submit a continuance request to the Court via a motion if you are not represented by an attorney. Please be sure to include the name and case number. The motion will be forwarded to the judge assigned to the case for review.  If the continuance is granted by the Court, a notice for the new court date will be mailed to the address on file.
  • It is the responsibility of the defendant to notify the Clerk’s Office in writing of any address change.

  • You may submit a continuance request to the Court via a motion if you are not represented by an attorney. Please be sure to include the name and case number. The motion will be forwarded to the judge assigned to the case for review.  If the continuance is granted by the Court, a notice for the new court date will be mailed to the address on file.

Please be sure to include the citation number, phone number, mailing address, and email address.  The letter or motion will be forwarded to the appropriate County Court Judge for review.  You will receive a phone call or email advising if the continuance was granted or denied.   You may also review your case via our online case search.
